Final Images

This is the environment created for the clients; Jonathan Ive and Lady Gaga.
This image shows the bridge,  heading past the village houses towards Ive's elevator awaiting at the other end.
This captures the view from Gaga's office, on to the bridge and towards the arriving elevator.
The view from gaga's elevator.

Hypotheses

Sigmund Freud:
1-    Dreams act as the guardians of sleep.
2-    Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead.
3-    Men are strong so long as they represent a strong idea they become powerless when they oppose it.
4-    The conscious mind may be compared to a fountain playing in the sun and falling back into the great subterranean pool of subconscious from which it rises.
5-    The tendency to aggression is an innate, independent, instinctual disposition in man... it constitutes the powerful obstacle to culture.

Isaac Newton:
1-    To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me.
2-    We build too many walls and not enough bridges.
3-    I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people.
4-    The seed of a tree has the nature of a branch or twig or bud. It is a part of the tree, but if separated and   set in the earth to be better nourished, the embryo or young tree contained in it takes root and grows into a new tree.
5-    A man may imagine things that are false, but he can only understand things that are true.

Maria Agnesi:
1-    Educating women is not a source of temptation or sin.
2-    I think that one may become lost in the maze of inextricable difficulties, if not assisted by secure guidance and sage direction.
3-    Three conditions: that she go to church whenever she wished, that she dress simply and humbly, that she abandon altogether balls, theatres, and profane amusements.
4-    Proceed with that natural order which provides, perhaps, the best instruction and the greatest light.
5-    Something simple and humble can turn to something successful. (in regards to  Analytical Institutions, the textbook that Agnesi started for her brothers and then took more serious and ended up being published.)

Banksy Art Movie

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CkX8ZqmvmcQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I choose this movie to upload because it shows a large collection of Banksy works in an easy format (as in no scanning the web for the images.)

Stairs

Malangi - structured
Banksy - box

The Sketches on the left are what i based the sketchup model on.
The sketches on the right are the additional pair we were asked to create.
Below are the sections from the first studio and stairs that i drew within the sections, as well as more detailed drawings of them.

Google SketchUp Model

The sketch I used, picturing:
Banksy: escape
Malangi: teach

Artists have an ability to place their work in the public eye without too much concern, consequently I thought it appropriate that the building have transparent properties. As this would increase the spatial feel of the building as a work place, as well as allowing more visual connection to the artists for the gallery viewers.
In regards to the placement of the artists;
Malangi would have the studio below ground level, which I would like to create as an aquarium sphere placed in the river, allowing Malangi to find more visual knowledge for his teaching river paintings.
A lot of Banksy work represents the theme of escape which he finds through placing his work on new surfaces, consequently Banksy would inhabit the top studio, as it incorporates the searched for feeling of spatial freedom, due to its transparency and height.
